Welcome to Time Zone Theatre

TIME ZONE THEATRE  is a London-based theatre company founded in September 2011 which aims to encourage collaboration between British and International Artists. We produce bold and daring work with the opportunity for experimentation and innovation and we embrace diversity in the arts. Our interest lies in working with new writers as well as producing adaptations and reinterpretations of classic plays.

Time Zone Theatre received multiple 4* and 5* reviews for their bold re-imaginings of classical plays, most notably Othello and The Taming of the Shrew at the historic Rose Playhouse, Bankside and Shoot, I didn't mean it /The Last Days of Mankind at Tristan Bates Theatre in the heart of the West End. Last year, Othello toured in England and to New York City, and Time Zone Theatre brought a team of international artists to London to create a physical theatre adaptation of Titus Andronicus. Further projects included a New Writing night at Southwark Playhouse and the acclaimed new production of Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov's opera Mozart & Salieri, which played at the Arcola Theatre and was finalist for an Off West End - Award 'Best Opera Production 2016'.

Their work has been supported by the Austrian Cultural Forum and Arts Council England.

2015 / 2016 Season

We are looking back at an incredibly exciting season! Our contemporary adaptation of William Shakespeare's OTHELLO, which transfers the action to the cityscape of modern London, opened at the Rose Playhouse in 2015, before it went on to Waterloo East Theatre, a tour through England, and finally a 2-weeks-run at Theaterlab in New York City in August 2016.

Further highlights include our collaboration with New York-based theatre company Luvas Theatre, which brought their artistic director Jung Han Kim to London this summer, where he created a physical theatre production of William Shakespeare's TITUS ANDRONICUS at the Rose Playhouse in July 2016.

Our revival of Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov's opera MOZART & SALIERI was part of the Grimeborn Festival 2016 and played at the Arcola Theatre main stage to critical acclaim.
